The best way to keep your truck clean is to wash it often. If you have a truck that’s been sitting for a while and has a lot of dirt and grime on it, then you should probably start with a good cleaning before washing. This will help you avoid scratching the paint or having swirl marks in your paint after you wash it.
First, you need a wash mitt. A sponge will not cut it. The mitt is soft enough to not scratch the paint, but firm enough to clean your truck well.
Before washing your truck, you should make sure that all loose dirt and debris are removed from the vehicle first. This can be done by using a high pressure hose or pressure washer, but it’s best to use a water blaster if one is available. These devices use compressed air to shoot water out at high speeds so that they can remove loose dirt and debris quickly without scratching paint or any other surface they come in contact with.
Once all loose dirt and debris are removed from the body, you can begin washing your truck by spraying it down with water until it’s completely wet. Next, apply soap or detergent directly onto the surface of the vehicle and spread it around using a sponge or microfiber towel. Make sure not to apply too much soap as this may cause streaks in your finish when drying off afterwards!
Finally, rinse off all soap residue with fresh water
Wash your truck regularly. This is a good time to clean the engine compartment and make sure that the tires are clean and shiny. Use soap and water to wash the tires, then rinse them off with water from a hose.
